Utah/Colorado Storyteller, Julie Moss is a member of National Storytelling Network, Rocky Mountain Storytelling, Storytellers of New Mexico. She has shared stories in Colorado, New Mexico, California, Wisconsin, Illinois, Tennessee, New York State and Florida and China. She is a retired educator who spent the last 20 years of her career as a school library media specialist where she used storytelling to help her students understand the world around them..
Julie’s been telling stories most of her life. In 2008 she became interested in Chinese storytelling when she joined a group of storytellers on a tour to China in order to collect stories while learning about Chinese storytelling. Her book, Old China through the Eyes of a Storyteller published in 2012 by Parkhurst Brothers, came about from this unique experience.
Julie began producing a Storytelling radio show in 2014. When she moved to Utah, she turned the show over to her 13 year old protégé, Vander, who is continuing the work which is broadcast on Saturdays on www.khen.org from 5:00-6:00 pm MT; and on the 2nd and 4th Saturday on www.krza.org from 5:00-6:00 pm MT.
